Hello all, I hope that you all had a really good new year and you are ready and rearing to get back to work as I am. To round off the current series of the internal network I thought that I would actually finish off the blogs on this. That’s not to say that this will be the end of the internal network discussions as whilst this is focused on the setup of the network, we will discuss some of the server and storage that we have in greater detail and how they have helped mitigate the awful internet services that we have.

Our Apple home network – Prologue

Our internal network using Apple Products –  If you have read our first blog, you will know about our plight with getting connected to the external world of the internet, its time to write about our kick ass internal network (well I think it’s kick ass anyway). We are currently running 5 wireless access points 4 of which are AC spec and one N450 Spec connecting all this together is a 1Gig backbone, with a pretty unique setup and reasons for having such coverage. Rural Business and Internet Divide

Well, this is the first of hopefully many attempts at blogging about Rural Business (I am not big on this), but hopefully some of you will find it very useful especially if like me you have some challenges with getting Fibre Broadband. To quantify this post, I must add that our property is on the Navenby 3 Cabinet that has been enabled to receive Fibre Broadband, Metheringham Cabinet is closer and enabled but BT can’t swap over the cabinets, but we will get to the options that have been thrown around this idea later.
